Is Antisemitism an Opinion? Lars Rensmann contributes essay to German Website “Hagalil”
Prof. Lars Rensmann contributed an essay on the website Hagalil on antisemitism that is expressed on media and social media. He argues that while freedom of speech is an important right and social good, hate speech should named as such and should not be legitimated in public discourse. Antisemitic ideas should also not be published as letters to the editors at respectable news sources because antisemitic hate speech is not simply an opinion.
