Lars Rensmann interviewed for Trouw, on origins, success and challenges of populist parties

Last month, Lars Rensmann was interviewed for an article in Trouw exploring the origins, success and challenges of populist parties in the Netherlands in view of the recent success of the "Forum voor Democratie". The success of the Forum indicates on the one hand a solidified growth of populism in the Netherlands, reflecting European trends, and on the other hand an increased frustration among former PVV voters looking for a right-wing populist alternative.
