In his lecture, CIRR member Xavier Guillaume investigates the meaning and function of colours in IR and politics. Guillaume is an expert on visual security studies and has published articles on the 'chromatology of security'. In this context, he has done research on - among other things - the meaning of colours on the battlefield and the police unform.
