Gwendal Denis
In this year, when we commemorate the end of the First World War 100 years ago, Professor Gwendal Denis, director of Centre de Recherche Bretonne et Celtique in Rennes, will speak on:

The Effects of the Great War on Breton and Brittany

In 2010 Denis edited a compilation of studies dealing with ‘Mémoire et trauma de la Grande Guerre: Bretagne, Catalogne, Corse, Euskadi, Occitanie’.

Jelle Krol
Jelle Krol will give a presentation on his PhD thesis:

Combative Minority Literature Writers in the Aftermath of the Great War: Douwe Kalma, Saunders Lewis, Hugh MacDiarmaid and Roparz Hemon

His presentation can be regarded as an introduction to the work he will defend in the Town Hall of Leeuwarden, later, at 3pm, on that very same day.
