Reinoud Gosens awarded a Public-Private Partnership allowance (Health~Holland)

15 July 2022

The Dutch Top Sector Life Sciences and Health aims to promote and stimulate new public-private partnerships to undertake research and development projects in the life sciences. In this scheme, Reinoud Gosens’ proposal has been awarded a PPP allowance of €159.674 in order to investigate “The COPD exacerbation as a therapeutic window for lung repair”, in a collaborative project with Aquilo B.V.

COPD affects millions of people world-wide and is characterized by a lack of tissue repair in the lung. The project team will develop a novel human organoid model to study lung repair following a COPD exacerbation. This will facilitate drug research into lung repair in COPD.
