PIL on Tuesday 12th September

The first PIL of year 2017/2018 will be held on Tuesday, September 12th at 12 middag in 3212-0217 with a lunch afterwards in the catering area opposite the Keuningzaal.
The first PIL after the summer holidays will be given by Daan Touw of the Pharmacokinetics, Toxicology and Targeting group, who also works in the Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology department of UMCG.
Personalised Medicine is a broad concept where many disciplines contribute. Personalised Medicine comprises amongst others advanced biomarker research, genetic screening, information technology, advanced bio-analytical techniques, kinetic/dynamic relationships and advanced dosing techniques. In this lecture I will focus on our use of advanced bio-analytical techniques, nuclear imaging and investigation of PK/PD relationships to optimize drug dosing. In addition, I will illustrate how we investigate the safety part of drug treatment. In addition to an overview of currently conducted research projects I will show some of our ideas for future research projects.The dates and locations of the PIL in 2017/2018 are as follows:
