Dear colleagues and students,
The eighth PIL (Pharmacy Interdepartmental Lecture) of year 2016/2017 will be held on Tuesday, April 11th at 12 midday in 3214-0081 with a lunch afterwards in the catering area of hall building 3219.
The PIL will be given by Ellen Nollen from the group of Aging Biology, ERIBA. The titel of her presentation is:

Dangerous conversions: biological mechanisms driving aging-related protein toxicity

Our main focus is on cellular mechanisms that drive age-related protein toxicity in aging and age-related diseases like Alzheimer and Parkinson. I will talk about our use of C. elegans as a model to identify cellular regulators of protein toxicity and highlight some of our recent findings, including those were we start to translate our findings in worms to mouse models of disease.
