Matty Karsten

A PhD student who will look at the Determinants of Succesfull Lifestyle change within the WOMB project (link to: www.womb-project.eu) . She has done her BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics from 2008 till 2012 and worked as a clinical dietician afterwards. Her enthusiasm for nutritional research in relation to disease prevention and the quality of life of patients in a clinical setting was aroused. In 2012 she started her MSc in Nutrition and Health at the Wageningen University and specialized in clinical nutrition research and eating behaviour. With her thesis she investigated sensory changes in cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. During her MSc, from March to September 2013, she worked as a research assistant within the EetMeetWeet project, a cohort in which dietary patterns were examined.
