Jack Hoeksema works on topics in the semantics, syntax and morphology of Dutch. He is an expert on negation

and polarity items, but also writes on language change, degree expressions, and word order variation. His work is

mainly corpus-based.

Miguel Santin is a psycholinguist working on the influence of using language-specific verbal patterns to describe events on the perception and cognitive representation of change of state in objects. His work is specially focused on the cross-linguistic encoding of events in Mandarin, Dutch, English, Greek and Spanish.
