Title: "Fuzzy cognitive maps in modelling socio-politico-economic dynamics"

Abstract:

Brief explanation of what the FCMs are. How can they be used in socio-politico-economic dynamics. Issues related to parameter identification, definition, and initialization. System updating dynamics. Time dependence. Application to some modelling in Cyprus.

Brief CV:
Dr Neocleous is a Mechanical Engineer and Naval Architect. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Cyprus University of Technology in Limassol-Cyprus. His main research interests are in mathematical models of single-neurons, design of computationally intelligent diagnostic systems (artificial neural networks, fuzzy systems, genetic algorithms) in engineering and medicine and modelling of complex dynamical systems using fuzzy cognitive maps. He has many research papers in the above research areas, that had been published in scientific journals and presented in International Conferences.

Colloquium coordinators are Prof.dr. M. Aiello (e-mail : M.Aiello rug.nl ) and
