Title: Computational intelligence via connectionist neural systems. Prospects and limitations.

Abstract:

The concept of intelligence, human or machine will be examined from the point of view of computational systems, and more specifically through densely connected neuron-like computational systems. Various claims will be made and discussed on whether intelligence can be realized through such systems. The discussion will further be extended to important philosophical issues related to mind/psyche, consciousness and world awareness.

Colloquium coordinators are Prof.dr. M. Aiello (e-mail : M.Aiello rug.nl ) and
Prof.dr. M. Biehl (e-mail: M.Biehl rug.nl )
