Comparative Hunter-Gatherer Archaeology of Holocene Northeast Asia and the North Pacific
This aim of this research initiative is to generate comparative insights into the rich hunter-gatherer archaeology of Northeast Asia and the North Pacific, an area which remains rather poorly represented in the international archaeological research literature. Scholars will contribute case-study papers from Siberia, the Russian Far East, Japan, Korea, Alaska and China at a special session of the European Association of Archaeology meeting in Pilsen, Czech Republic, in September 2013, which in turn will be published as a special issue of the journal Quaternary International.
