Archaeology of Climate Change, Technological Innovation and Cultural Resilience

This research theme focuses the complex intersection between climate change and human cultural response, as played out in the dynamic setting of the northern circumpolar environment. The focus is on understanding the emergence, dispersal and modification of new technologies and behavioral strategies among northern populations, and on investigating the factors that contribute to cultural resilience, as well as rapid transformation and apparent collapse.
