Prof. Panos Merkouris speaking at seminar on Customary International Law in Colombia

On 9 August 2018, Prof. Panos Merkouris was invited by the Faculty of Law of the Universida Externado de Colombia (Profs. Jose Manuel Álvarez and Maciej Zenkiewicz) to a Seminar on Customary International Law. Prof. Merkouris was the main speaker, and presented on the theoretical validity of interpreting customary international law.

His presentation was followed by a lively discussion with a panel of experts on customary international law in Latin America (Jose Manuel Álvarez, Maciej Zenkiewicz Victor Saco, Fabián Cárdenas and Rodrigo Corredor) and the audience. Prof. Merkouris’ presentation was based on his research in the context of the TRICI-Law project, which has received funding from the European Research Council (ERC) under the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement No759728).
