Teaching

Global Health Law Groningen works together with a range of people in order to address the interface between public international law, human rights law, domestic health law, public health and social medicine. In order to educate people, GHLG provides the LLM course ‘international health law’ in which multiple standards under international health law are critically reflected, evaluated and discussed in order to gain insight on the shortcomings of international law with regard to the protection of global health.

Additionally, GHLG hosts an annual summer school on health and human rights. The summer schools looks at ‘the role of law in addressing the chronic disease pandemic’, in which a human rights approach is adhered in order to promote understanding of how law and policy can be best framed to address the global increase in chronic diseases.
