LLM Course: International Health Law

Course ‘International Health Law’ as part of LLM International Human Rights Law at University of Groningen

The course ‘International Health Law’ forms part of the LLM in International Human Rights Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Groningen. There is a possibility for external and exchange students to participate in the course (for more information please contact the International Office of the Law Faculty or the course coordinator).

This course deals with a wide range of health-related concerns, including the global rise in non-communicable diseases, access to medicines, health security threats including the recent ebola and zika crises, reproductive health, health sector accountability and access to healthcare services for vulnerable groups.

Course lecturers include Prof. Hans Hogerzeil, Ellen ‘t Hoen and Katrina Perehudoff (access to medicines), Lucia Berro Pizzaorssa (reproductive health), Veronika Flegar (migrant health), Eva Zhang (accountability), Marie Elske Gispen (tobacco & controlled medicines) and Prof. Brigit Toebes (NCDs, course coordinator).
