The European Scientific Network on Law and Tobacco (ESNLT) is an academic network primarily of and for legal scholars in Europe with a clear outreach to policy and practice. The ESNLT aims to bring together legal scholarship, to provide a platform for knowledge exchange and facilitate exploring future research agendas. The Groningen Centre for Health Law of the Department of International Law of the University of Groningen acts as ESNLT leading party. Our key partners in knowledge utilization and valorization to policy and practice are the Dutch Cancer Society, Kom op tegen Kanker, Norwegian Cancer Society, ASH Action on Smoking & Health, Belgian Alliance for a Smoke Free Society, and the Tobacco Control Research Group from the University of Bath. All network activities are organized with financial support from the Dutch Cancer Society.

Call for members: we aim to build a sustainable network of legal scholars in Europe. Tobacco control is a niche area in legal scholarship and innovative knowledge exchange depends on cross-fertilization and comparison. The ESNLT therefore manages an inclusive approach and is thus by outset open to any legal scholar holding a relevant expertise to the network’s core focus. We particularly welcome legal scholars in Europe who would like to expand their work on tobacco control in Europe to get in touch. If you're interested in becoming a member or partner organization, please get in touch via esnlt@rug.nl

Call for network partners: We are looking for network partners with a genuine interest in the field of tobacco control. As a partner in our network, you will join a growing network of legal scholars. The ESNLT opens up possibilities for joint projects, peer learning, and knowledge exchange through seminars, workshops and conferences. The network will also contribute to developing longstanding and substantive relationships with researchers and organizations in the field of tobacco control. What is more, ESNLT provides a platform to join forces with other organizations to organize seminars and conferences. Moreover, through our quarterly newsletter, you can enhance your communication and reach a broad national and international audience. If you are interested in becoming a partner organization, please get in touch via esnlt@rug.nl
