Jaap Waverijn wins People’s choice award at 3 Minute Competition
At the inaugural University of Groningen Three Minute Thesis competition , PhD researcher Jaap Waverijn won the People’s choice award. After his presentation about his research on the legal barriers and solutions in financing (offshore) renewable energy, and the role thereof in combating climate change, Jaap received the highest number of votes from the audience.
The competition featured twelve PhD researchers, selected from all faculties of the university. Jaap was the only PhD from the Faculty of Law to pass the selection stage and present at the finals in the Groninger Forum.
