Supervision & Enforcement (6 ECTS)

Brief course description:
The course is interdisciplinary by nature as it encompasses a public and criminal law perspective and a public administration point of view. Attention will be given to the work of various supervisors at different government levels.
Several guest lectures will be delivered by employees of enforcement agencies on instruments used (risk analysis, effect studies), their powers to acquire information and their authority to impose legal sanctions.
Specific attention will be given to the work of enforcement in the field of data protection, safety and security and other safety issues (cybersafety, work safety, food safety).
