LLM in European Economic Law

Programme requirements

In order to obtain an LLM degree in European Economic Law a candidate must successfully complete a total of 60 ECTS:
a.   Five compulsory courses:
-     Competition Law (6 ECTS)
-     Constitutional Principles of the EU Market (6 ECTS)
-     European Internal Market Law (6 ECTS)
-     EU Trade Law (6 ECTS)
-     Market Regulation (6 ECTS)
b. The seminar European Market Law (6 ECTS)
c. One optional course from this list (at least 6 ECTS):
-     European Human Rights Law (6 ECTS)
-     European Judicial Protection (6 ECTS)
-     European Sustainability Law (6 ECTS)
d. Master’s thesis (18 ECTS)

Programme structure

The programme consists of six courses (minimum), a seminar and the writing of a Master’s thesis. The programme requires one year, full-time to complete.

Exchange period in the first semester (Fall term), as exchange student:
-
Competition Law (6 ECTS)
- Constitutional Principles of the EU Market (6 ECTS)
- European Internal Market Law (6 ECTS)
- Market Regulation (6 ECTS)
- Seminar European Market Law (6 ECTS)

LLM completion in the second semester as registered regular LLM student (Winter/Spring term), after graduation at home university:
- EU Trade Law (6 ECTS)
- One optional compulsory course in block 4 (6 ECTS)
- Master’s thesis (18 ECTS)

The LLM European Economic Law is registered under the LLM CROHO label European Law (60602).
