Prof. Dr. J.B. Wezeman

Jan Berend Wezeman specializes in corporate law, corporate governance and corporate litigation. Since 2003 he is professor in company and commercial law at the University of Groningen and chairman of the Corporate Law Institute (in Dutch: Instituut voor Ondernemingsrecht). From 2001-2003 he was professor of company law a the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is advisor of Van Mensand Wisselink, attorneys, tax advisors and public notaries at Utrecht, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Furthermore he is Deputy Judge at the District Court (Rechtbank) Groningen. Jan Berend Wezeman has published several treatises and books on corporate and commercial law. He has a PhD of the University of Groningen (on liability of directors). He is member of the Editorial Board of some Dutch periodicals on company law and commercial law.
