Decision Roster

A decision roster is a useful technique in the making a choice. If you have some good internship opportunities and multiple factors that you want to take into your consideration, this can be an effective way to reach an informed choice.

Step 1

  • Make a note of what criteria are important to you in an internship

Step 2

  • Make a note of the placements for which you are in doubt

Step 3

  • Give a score (1-10) for the importance that the different criteria are for you

Step 4

  • Give a score (1-10) to what extent the different stages meet the criteria. Multiply this with the score of Step 3

Step 5

  • Add the scores for each placement to each other. The total score indicates again to what extent the various stages are important to you
