Leerdoelen Upon completion of the course, the student is able to:
1. Explain the differences in the used materials.
2. Select materials based on technical specifications for product function.
3. Select and design the appropriate constitutive behaviour of materials to design and understand the production process.
4. Design and select processes for products or product parts.
5. Optimize a process related to function, design and price
Omschrijving In this course the student will learn about the constitutive laws for various materials, such as metals, polymers and composites and how to process them. Among the techniques that will be discussed are molding, forming, drawing, cutting, joining and 3D printing. During the course the students will visit multiple companies and factories to see the processing in real life.
