Leerdoelen At the end of the course, the student is able to:
1) Explain in simple terms the rationale of modern traditional and modern information systems
2) Explain the basic understanding of how various modelling systems differ from each other
3) Understand the benefits and limitations of the covered techniques in real-life applications
Omschrijving The topics that are covered in this course include:

- Reasoning with Ontologies
- Internet of Things
- Business Process Modelling with Blockchain
- Relational Databases (SQL, Normalization, triggers, stored procedures, ...)
- NoSQL (overview of other types of databases; e.g. graph databases)
- Association Analysis

Toetsvorm Practisch werk (PR), Schriftelijk tentamen (WE)
(The practicals are worth together 30% of the grade; the exam is worth 70% of the grade. The students must obtain a pass from both the exam and the practicals.)
