Leerdoelen | - Justify the use of computational models in cognitive neuroscience. - Reason about several computational models of cognition. - Being able to conduct a simple EEG analysis. - Judge which of these EEG analysis methods are useful to perform a specific model-based analysis. - Evaluate CCN research. - Design a CCN experiment. |

Omschrijving | Students will read original articles in the field of Computational Cognitive Neuroscience (CCN) and discuss those. They will perform ERP and oscillation analysis of EEG data. They will work with existing datasets from a decision making experiment, and learn the basics of EEG analysis. Two models the students will become particularly familiar with are the Drift Diffusion Model of decision making and the Noisy Exemplar Model of recognition memory. Students will also write a grant proposal in the field of Computational Cognitive Neuroscience. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
