Leerdoelen | At the end of this course, the student is able to: - Understand and learn to construct complex models of human behavior - Gain experience in building mobile applications and incorporating models in such applications - Have constructed and tested a mobile application that either uses a model as an instructional or game opponent, or use a model to track the state or knowledge of the user. |

Omschrijving | This course will be structured within a learning community, in which project teams of three or four students work together on a common project, guided by the lecturer and a teaching assistant. Team members will study online materials and lectures that describe how mobile applications have to be build, and will receive supplemental information on the use of a library that implements a cognitive architecture necessary to implement models within an application. In the first two weeks the teams will develop their implementation skills by together building a small example App (a calculator), and to formulate a plan for their eventual project App (several possible example projects and suggestions will be provided). In week 3 the plans will be discussed, leading to specifications of the goal applications. In the following weeks, the plans will be implemented, and by the end of the period (week 7-8), the results will be tested. Each team writes a report with a recognizable contribution of each of the team members. |
