Leerdoelen | During the Master's Project students learn to apply and integrate the knowledge and skills acquired during their education. The Master's Project is concluded with a Master’s Thesis report and an oral presentation towards an audience with ample expertise in the subject followed by a discussion. During the Master’s Project, experience in most of the following domains will be obtained: 1. Analyse the problem and define aim 2. Create a Design, Research & Development proposal 3. Execute the Design, Research & Development plan 4. Analyse and interpret the data 5. Communicate results 6. Embed the results in scientific and social context 7. Demonstrate a professional attitude |

Omschrijving | The Master’s Project (35 ECTS) is an individual research project that is carried out under the supervision of a mentor from the Master’s Programme Biomedical Engineering. The project can be conducted at departments affiliated with Biomedical engineering at UG/UMCG, other hospital, or company affiliated with biomedical engineering. It is possible to conduct the Master's Project abroad. 5 ECTS of the project are for the preparation of the Master’s Project (WMBE901-35a). Included in the preparation Master's project are: - Finding a project - Write a project proposal including a time planning - Winter symposium (poster presentation proposal) - Summer symposium (oral presentation results) - Three modules/workshops: 1. Cover letter and CV; 2. Scientific writing; 3. 3D LAB workshop. |
