Leerdoelen | At the end of the course, the student is able to: 1) use the methodical design process to design a biomedical product relevant and usable for all stakeholders (e.g. patients, medical staff) 2) create a test plan to realise a CE-certified product, including the performance of a FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) 3) apply and control all phases of project management. 4) communicate properly with all stakeholders. 5) analyse his/her team and subsequently use this analysis to optimize the team performance. 6) present their work in a written report and oral presentation. |

Omschrijving | During this course, strategies the methodical design process is presented and practiced. In addition to the methodical design process, other topics will be discussed: project management, teamwork, communication methods for a good co-operation between medical and technical experts, application of selection processes, specific design aspects of implants, test of prototypes, including FMEA-analysis. During the course an assignment will be worked out by an interdisciplinary group of students. |
