Leerdoelen | At the end of the course, the student is able to: 1. Critically present a scientifically disputed topic within the field of neuroscience, complete with a historical introduction, an overview of the current status, and a well-defended own opinion, for a non-specialist academic audience. 2. Acquire a broad overview of contemporary issues in the area of behaviour, cognition, and neurosciences. 3. Understand the need for multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary approaches to investigate the working of the brain and can work in a multidisciplinary/ interdisciplinary environment. 4. Evaluate scientific results, views and concepts with a positive critical attitude 5. Present scientific research in verbal form, taking into account the limitations of their conclusions. 6. Obtain an overview of the core issues in a scientific area in a short period of time. |

Omschrijving | The student prepares a 20 minute presentation (+ 5 min questions) introducing the overarching questions of the field of their minor project to fellow students. It is important not focus on describing the minor project, but instead to focus on the big picture of the field. This presentation should be understandable and of interest to all B,C and N track students. The level of details should thus be appropriate for a broad audience.
