Omschrijving | Dedicated to the Bachelor Industrial Engineering and Management, the course unit applies process design from chemical engineering for industrial application. General process equipment functions are introduced, such as pipes, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, tanks and vessels, regarding, type, design and operation. Personal and small group-assignments have to be executed to enhance equipment modelling and equipment design understanding. The engineering computer software Aspen will be introduced and course-specific models will be used to enhance computer added equipment design and understanding. Literature survey and engineering skills as part of the academic skills will be addressed. Nestor will be used for support during the module and modeling assistance will be available. |
