Leerdoelen | At the end of the course the student is able to: - reproduce a chemical reaction protocol in the laboratory - establish experimental outcomes by use of standard analytical techniques - manage a small experimental research project - report scientific findings in a report - work in the laboratory in responsible and safe manner |

Omschrijving | The students will carry out 5-6 synthesis protocol experiments and one multi-day project which involves the synthesis of organic and inorganic molecules and study of their properties. Within the project there is room for the development of the student’s own ideas. Experiments and the project need to be prepared in a lab book and discussed with the teaching assistants and the results need to be recorded in the lab book and documented in a report. The students are expected to run multiple experiments in parallel. | ||||||||||||||||||||
