Leerdoelen At the end of the course, the student is able to:
1. discuss the most important ethical theories.
2. demonstrate weighted contribution to ethical discussions about medical techniques or domains in health care.
3. illustrate ethical aspects of the use of medical techniques.
4. recognize the convictions of others and able to review the accompanying arguments.
Omschrijving In the course Ethics (1,2 & 3) students become acquainted with the philosophical and ethical analysis of the interrelations between scientific; technological, and social developments in various health care domains.
In this course unit, Ethics 2, we will explore the most prominent theories on ethics and how they can guide our actions and resolve moral dilemmas. The assumptions, scenarios and values in specifics areas of biomedical technology will be examined and discussed.

This course is integrated with the 3-ECTS course unit Design of Biomedical Products 2 (WBBE008-03).
