Leerdoelen At the end of the course unit, students are able to:
1) explain basic physiology
2) list the basic measurement techniques
3) explain signal analysis techniques
4) explain research procedures
5) analyse measurement data
6) select the right measurement technique for a specific use
Omschrijving During lectures, students will be given an overview of basic physiology, current diagnostic measurement systems (including their possibilities and limitations) and an overview of data analysis procedures. The various instruments and their applications will be demonstrated during the practical lessons:

- ENT
- Neurology
- Ophthalmology
- Rehabilitation
- Ventilation

(Plus demonstration of several measuring techniques.)
Toetsvorm Schriftelijk tentamen (WE)
(Final mark (WE 100%) is calculated from the average of the five sub-marks. To pass, every sub-mark must be at least a 4. Pass grade: Final mark ≥5.5)

Entreevoorwaarden This course unit requires prior knowledge of signal analysis, basis optics and anatomy and physiology, but these subjects are not compulsory entry requirements.
