Omschrijving | The course aims to introduce students quickly to the basics of the Ancient Greek language, and to familiarise them with the tools needed for tackling original sources. Study of grammar and vocabulary will be combined from the start with engagement with original Greek sources. Students will not only get to know the basics of the language but also experience the excitement and the depth of cultural understanding which the study of a text in the original can offer. The participants will also put their new skills into practice by working on a Greek source or text (of any period) which they can select according to their specific research interests. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
