Omschrijving | This course treats topics in Italian Renaissance and Baroque art that are current in modern research or that attempt to broaden the field. Concentrating on the arts in Rome and Florence during the 15th and 16th centuries, the course adopts the cross-disciplinary approach that is typical of the study of Italian art. The course not only offers the kind of specialized knowledge and insight that students interested in Italian art need, but also a critical framework for art historical inquiry in general. | ||||||||
