Short description:
What motivates people to engage in sustainable behaviour? Which interventions are successful in promoting sustainable actions? And what do people find acceptable? On the first day of summer school, a real-life sustainability issue will be presented to you. You will learn about a program that training people to set-up their own companies. The question you will address is how we can make sure these companies are sustainable. The following days of the summer school you will develop a proposal to address this issue in small groups. You will define a specific behaviour or mindset that needs to be changed in order to help solve the issue. Based on the course Social aspects of sustainability you will come up with theory-based explanations for the issue. Based on your explanations you will develop strategies to solve the problem. On the final day of the summer school, the groups will present their proposal to the organization and fellow students.

In the Atelier you and your interdisciplinary team will continue working on this theme. Afterwards, you will present your findings and acquired knowledge during the Petrus Camper Festival on June 23rd 2021.
