Leerdoelen	The ICT aims to help you develop some of the knowledge, skills and attitude to function more effectively and appropriately in a variety of cultural contexts.
Omschrijving	We do this on the basis of your own situations and by creating awareness and developing intercultural competences. It can help you become aware of the role of culture in your contacts with people from different backgrounds, with different opinions and understand your own behavior and consider different ways of behaving. The ICT approach differs from other intercultural communication courses in that it focuses on competences rather than knowledge of another culture. These competences will enable you to communicate better. This course does not have a normative character and provides you with concrete skills for daily practice. Participants are much more likely to actually use their newly acquired competences if they get to practice with intercultural situations that they come across in their daily lives.

Opmerkingen	De volgende voorwaarde (Artikel 3.6 van de EAR, te vinden in je Student Portal onder Organizations) geldt: “Except in the event of extraordinary circumstances, all Honours Programme course units have a 100% attendance requirement, which includes preparation for and active participation in the course units."
