Omschrijving In this masterclass, across three lectures, we will delve into the intricacies of leadership research. In the first session, we will cover the development of leadership research of the past century. Specifically, we will focus on how leadership research has evolved from the trait approach, through the behavioral, power-influence, and contingency approaches, all the way to the integrative approach. In the second session, we will cover the importance of context for leadership in theory and practice. Specifically, we will focus on different theoretical and practical examples in which context dictates when, why, and how leadership is most effective. In the third session, we invite the participants of the course to present a case that demonstrates how context influences leadership processes.
