Omschrijving | Students are required to write a Product Proposal in which they pitch an improvement to an existing product. These proposals are written in interdisciplinary groups. The Product Proposal has to cover 1) the technological options for improvement (i.e. show that it is possible, and what the effects will be), 2) the commercial demand for this improvement (i.e. show that people would buy this, so a company has a reason to invest in it), and 3) a financial plan for the development of the improvement including a thorough business model. Secondly, each group has to write a Plan of Approach which should demonstrate how they want to improve the product (i.e. time table, which resources and facilities are required, etc.). Students have to present their Product Proposal and Plan of Approach to a panel of relevant experts. This presentation will be judged on the way in which it clearly conveys the main points of the proposal, the way in which the students convince the panel of experts to implement their ideas, as well as the way in which they handle questions from the panel of experts regarding their proposal. |
