Leerdoelen | After completing this course successfully, learners will be able to: (1) observe, determine, describe, interpret, explain and position contemporary geographic and planning phenomena in Europe; (2) understand the role of the European Union in spatial development and spatial planning.; (3) reflect upon future developments related to spatial policy and planning in the European Union; (4) relate all of the above to the modus operandi of the European Union and her legal framework. |

Omschrijving | This course aims to provide a solid and extensive basis-knowledge about the geography and planning of Europe. It consists of a series of lectures that focus on introducing different aspects of the course through in-depth examples and outlooks. During the course we’ll address historical, social, economic, cultural, political and planning aspects of the European Union. Students are expected to involve themselves with the issues of the course and participate actively. Guest lecturers contribute with unexpected and challenging insights from their specialty and/or working experience. |
