Omschrijving Macroeconomics is the study of the economy as a whole. This course provides an introduction into the field of macroeconomics. It focuses on key macroeconomic concepts such as national income, interest rates, exchange rates, the balance of trade, unemployment, inflation etc. In the course, simple macroeconomic models are introduced to explain the relationships between macroeconomic variables. These models deal with the short-run economy as well as the long run economy and open as well as closed economies. These models, in turn, are used to analyze the effects of fiscal and monetary policy in the economy.
