Leerdoelen	The paper should cover a small piece of research in the knowledge area of Accountancy & Controlling and the project must be conducted and reported on according to scientific standards. Upon completion of the course the student should able to: 1.Review the literature to identify a knowledge gap and ask a relevant research question; 2.Develop propositions and/or hypotheses supported by a strong argumentation; 3.Make consistent research design choices and justify these choices; 4.Collect data and apply appropriate analytical techniques; 5.Report about the findings and discuss them.
Omschrijving	A research paper is the last step of a long journey starting with a puzzle the researcher has identified. It communicates as clearly as possible the motivation, methods, and results of an investigation designed and implemented to answer a research question. Now, for the sake of clarity, little of the actual research experience is eventually reported in the paper. The purpose of this course is therefore to give students a complete although simplified experience of research practice, from the initial questioning to the final paper.

Toetsvorm	-individuele opdracht (The paper has to be completed within the scope of a semester. If the grade for the final paper is below the pass mark, one opportunity for reparation will be provided within the scope of this semester.)
