Leerdoelen The main outcomes are learning to understand and apply Markov Decision Programming (MDP) to optimize operations & production planning, learning from research on operations & production planning through reading and discussing scientific papers, learning to do research by writing a short scientific paper on optimizing operations & production planning, and learning to communicate about research by presenting your own work and commenting on the work of others (peer review).
Omschrijving The student becomes familiar with state-of-the art on MDP modeling and on operations & production planning. (S)he completes an individual research project where MDP is applied to solve a specific problem on operations or production planning. (S)he learns to provide feedback on scientific articles, and communicate (in written form) about scientific work.
