Omschrijving |
In recent years there has been much debate among economists and policy makers about competition policy and the extent of competition on markets. This course discusses in depth parts of the modern theoretical literature on industrial organization theory that underlie the arguments which are used in this lively and challenging debate. Ample attention will be paid to applications of the theory to practical cases. Topics discussed are: market power, market definition, horizontal mergers, vertical mergers, vertical restraints, abuse of dominant position, monopolisation practices. |
