Omschrijving | This course integrates insights from personnel psychology with the issue of fitting the demand and supply of labour in an organization. The total of methods and techniques of engineering this supply is generally referred to as the instruments of personnel policy. These include job analyses, recruitment, screening, selection decisions, performance management, and retention. In the lectures, students will learn how to optimize ´putting the right person at the right job´ by learning about the use of these instruments and about their technical aspects (e.g., reliability and validity). In the group assignments, they will apply this knowledge as they go through the process of hiring a manager. In an individual assignment, they reflect on performance management practices of existing organisations. | ||||||||||||
