Leerdoelen 1. Explain the roles, tasks and historical development of banks and other financial intermediaries.
2. Construct and solve microeconomic and macroeconomic models of banking behaviour.
3. Identify, measure, and manage the main drivers of risk in banks.
4. Critically examine the role of financial regulation.
Omschrijving The course begins with an introduction to the role of banks in the economic system where the emphasis is on the microeconomic, macroeconomic, and management aspects of the banking industry. Subsequently, each of these three topics is studied in more depth.
