Leerdoelen	The course Roman Law aims at providing knowledge and understanding of Roman law principles of Dutch private law. Furthermore you will gain insight in the common European private law characteristics and you will become familiar with comparative law on a historical basis. With the provided knowledge and insights you will practice your ability to judge aspects of legal history and to reflect and evaluate upon them. By means of oral and written questions about subjects relevant to the Roman legal history you will train your ability to answer legal questions throughout this course.
