In 2022/2023 both Project Security and Coding as well as Project Chaos Theory will be offered. After that the following will apply:
Since Project Security & Coding and Project Chaos Theory (Elective Group C) are biyearly courses, students pick one and do the Mathematics & Society: Ethical and Professional Aspects course the other year. This means that they do Mathematics & Society: Ethical and Professional Aspects either in their second year or their third year, same goes for the course they pick out of Elective Group C. This depends on the choice they make for Elective Group C.

In 1b students have to pick two courses out of Elective group D and one course from the electives listed below.

The 3rd-year programme shown above (semester II) must be combined with a 15 EC minor in semester I. The minor can be chosen from:
- Minor Mathematics (electives listed below)
- Faculty-wide deepening minors (see ocasys)
- University-wide deepening minors (see ocasys)
- individual minor (for instance a minor abroad). In this case the student needs to ask approval of the Board of Examiners for this list of individual minor courses in advance (at least 10 weeks before starting the minor). A minor needs to be coherent and at a sufficiently high level.

Students who want to follow the minor Mathematics have to choose 3 out of 4 of the 'minor Mathematics' courses in 1a.

Students who choose C++ fundamentals cannot choose Imperative Programming as well and vice versa.

Students who choose Introduction to Actuarial Science cannot choose Introduction to Econometrics as well and vice versa.
