Leerdoelen	1. Students will be able to integrate theory and experimental work in the field of neurolinguistics. 2. Students will know and be able to apply the methods and techniques used to conduct research in the field of neurolinguistics, with the focus on neuroimaging. 3. Students will be able, under supervision, to develop new ideas for neurolinguistic research.
Omschrijving	The focus of this module is the relationship between neuroimaging techniques, in particular Event-Related Potentials (ERPs) and Direct Electrical Stimulation (DES), and language processing. The course consists of lectures and practical sessions. The lectures are dedicated to theoretical issues regarding both language processing and methodological/technical aspects of ERP and DES research. In the practical sessions the students will gain hands-on experience in creating and validating an ERP/DES experiment.

Opmerkingen	Dit vak fungeert als verplicht/keuze onderdeel van het afstudeerdossier taalwetenschap dat sinds 2018-2019 de bachelorthese heeft vervangen. Naast het onderzoekscollege pragmatiek kiezen studenten 2 van 4 keuzevakken (onderzoekscolleges) en stellen uit de opdrachten voor deze vakken het dossier samen (één mondelinge presentatie, één poster presentatie, één schriftelijk werkstuk).
