Omschrijving |
Art Now offers a survey of contemporary art from the 1990s to the present. The history of contemporary art contains a tapestry of stories. Rather than following a strict chronological, geographical, or stylistic line the course is structured by recurring and often debated topics as Identity, Globalism, Archival impulse and Intermediality. Attention will be paid to the political, social and philosophical context in which contemporary art could develop. The course provides tools to critically analyse and reflect on the art of today. |
